Services will be held at Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg Saturday, April 7th at 11:00 am with Evangelist Randy Baker and Pastor Jason Spade officiating. Burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery.

He is the son of the late Melvin F. Baker and Bonnie Lucille Bennett Baker. He was married to the love of his life, Laura Nicolai Baker, Parkersburg for 54 years. Barney retired to spend the rest of his life with Laura. Halee Baker, Paige and Audrey Crawford and Sophia Monasky.

Barney was a proud graduate of Parkersburg High School, class of 1958 and attended Glenville State College. He served in the Army and the Army National Guard of West Virginia, Company A 1092D Engineers. He was an ardent fan of the West Virginia Mountaineers, Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Reds. Barney loved coaching biddy basketball and little league baseball. He also loved listening to the radio. At his request, he will be cremated with no viewing.
